My application got lost in the mail

That's almost as bad as The Dog Ate My Homework

But that's what the girl told me when I checked on the status today. Now I have to wait for a second copy of the paperwork and then send it in and start the system all over again.

I guess my next rifle can wait a little.

I sent mine off on the 26th of September and received my license on the 20th of October. That is only 24 days if you include the weekends. I had been prepared to wait until around Christmas from what I had heard. It was quite a surprise that it came so quickly. Now I just need to get some cash together. LOL

Well, you shouldn't have to send another copy to your CLEO.

The sad thing is, the government won't accept any excuse like that from you. Try telling the IRS that your tax check got lost in the mail and see how understanding THEY are.
