congrats and salut on your successful hunt. i am jealous of your meat.

Quite a compliment considering there's no pictures...

Maybe you want to rephrase that last statement...

... or not.

Yes yes texas blah blah Shiner is good though, and the old lady is from texas so I spose I can't say too much.
Been planning on going to the rogue brewery for a while. my friend from the marines moved to Portland so maybe I can find an excuse to visit.
Arrogant bastard is good yes. and its bottles are quite amusing, especially the part about the piss water beers like bud light
In Portland get yourself to Bridgeport Brewey for their IPA... then drive up the gorge to Hood River and the Full Sail Brewery for their Amber and Pale ales... and of course Widmers is legendary for their Hefeweizen. Oregon is a beer kind of place... from Portland in the North to Bend in the South.

On the other hand you should be able to find those in Idaho.

So what do Coors, Bud, Pabst, Old Style, Shiner, Miller, and other mass produced American beers, have in common with a prostitute in a canoe?

I have to add the words Mosin Nagant to stay on topic.

WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH THERE, SIR.

You can sh*t on any beer you want...but when you crap on shiner, YOU GET INTO TROUBLE.

Shiner is not mass produced, my dear Geo. Furthermore, it's delicious and well made.

Heffeweissen = hefty white

Hefeweizen = yeast wheat

German can be a little tricky.

Hey! I'll be in Munich for a week in November... Wooo Hooo!

...So many beers... so little time.

Yeah, I just added that in to see what you would say.

I spent a lot of "warm" summer days in McAllen, and had my fair share of Shiner's. It's pretty good, on a hot day in Texas, but not among my favorites.

The word for half in German is "halb"...

Heffe means heavy or weighty...

Hefe means yeast.

Weissen in German is white.

Weizen means wheat.

Widmers wheat beer is called/spelled Hefeweizen, as it is a wheat beer with a bit of a yeasty flavor.

In Germany it's called Weizenbier or weizbier for short.

How about New Belgium Brewery: Abbey ale, Trippel, you all probably have heard of Fat tire.
And don't forget O'dells Brewery: 90 Shilling, Eazy Street Wheat, (one of the finest wheats I've ever had) Levity, Cutthroat Porter. mmmmmmmmmmm
I used to live where these beers are made and I miss them the most out of all aspects of my old town.
