This is my second issue of a CCW and have thankfully never required to pull my weapon. For this renewal I purchased the Ruger LCP .380 as my carry choice. Not the best caliber (.380) but a great gun that can be carried no matter what and will do the job when called on.
My first CCW i carried a Para ordanance 45 high capacity but found it difficult to conceal under normal dress. Problem no more. I think CCW is best when you carry all the time and to do that has comprimises.

Congratulations on the CCW. Carry what you like but carry every day. I had a Para 12-45LDA for years but had to sell it due to financial needs.

I also carry a .38. My thing is....any gun in one's face is going to be a bad day for that person!

Thanks Windwalker and MrsS. When I was Military police my partner was shot 5 times with a .380 at point blank range. Even though he went down, he was able to return fire with his .45 and placed 5 rounds through the spleen of the perp. My partner was released from hospital in one day. Useful info here...

I usally carry my EMP 9mm, but also carry a Beretta .32. Many would say neither of these are good self defence calibers. I just say, "Would you want to be shot with them?" Not Me!
