springfield-06 Firearm Enthusiast Join Date: Oct 2008 Posts: 14	help with my springfield 30-06 i have a rifle that was handed down to me from my dad and he told me it was a springfield 30-06 the only thing it has stamped on it is the serial number and i was wondering if i could get some info on how old it was and if it really is a springfield.the first four serial numbers are 4071 if someone could help i would apreciate it. thanks
