Competition Use Only?

Why does this indicate (Competition Use Only) with the Production model having 3.5-4 lbs trigger pull? Is there a legal issue here?

XD(M)
“PRODUCTION”

OVER TRAVEL STOP & REDUCED TR IGGER RESET
3.5-4LB TR IGGER PULL (COMPET ITION USE ONLY )
DAWSON ADJUSTABLE FIBER OPTIC SIGHTS
SPR INGF IELD CUSTOM ™ MATCH BARREL
EXTENDED MAG RELEASE

Thanks

Probably more of a release of liability then anything? It also probably says this so anyone thinking of using it for LEO/duty use is aware it has a very light trigger pull?

I'm not sure, but I don't even think police officers can have anything listed for competition use/only as their duty gun? Another reason it may say this. Still comes back to a release of liability by the manufacturer.

If I'm wrong someone will gladly correct me. lol

And by the way, welcome to G&G.

That is where I was leaning also. I just like that it came with the Fiber Optic sights. I which I knew the codes for the gun models that are advertised then I could figure out what they come with.

Thanks
