personally i think this is the best combo one can buy. well priced and will last a lifetime and then some. with mine the slug barrel is quite accurate. only problem i ca find with it is that the barrel doesn't have the cantilever mount on it so you must mount a scope to the receiver and then have to remove it when using the bird barrel and need to re sight in the scope when you re mount it. i find to 100 yards the iron sights work great and i won't shoot a game farther than that with a shotgun so it's good for me.

sorry just looked at the site again. it does have the barrel mount. at that price you can't go wrong. i paid $500 for mine and not barrel mount or scope

Looks ,like a GREAT deal to me. Get an 18 inch cylinder-bored barrel for your third barrel and you have your home defense gun, too.

I just got the mossberg 500 from dick's yesterday. Very nice gun from the looks, haven't had a chance to shoot it yet.
When I went on tuesday, they were out of the combo deals. My brother was looking at the combo and they offered him a rain check. I paid $213 w/ tax for the 500VR. The guy at the store seemed shocked at the price.

---added---
I just looked at your link and your price for the combo is cheaper than the dick's here in NJ.
