Ghost ring Vs notch sights.

My 380 came with the notch rear sight installed, and a ghost ring. I haven't tried the ghost ring yet, but I'm thinking about it.

I'm cross dominant, and I tried my son-in-laws ghoast ring on his .40. Seemed easier to sight with and aquire with.

has anybody tried it on the .380, and what's the popular opinion?

Some do and some don't

It is really just what the individual finds does best for him or her.
So, experiment and seek your best solution.
I know this sounds a bit trite yet it is the truth.

I've found the ghost better for long range precision but the notch is quicker to acquire a target. I use the notch, I'm not going to be picking off a mugger at 30 meters.
