I used to work at a 4 diamond, 4 star rated resort in the mountains of Tucson, AZ. one day the guys decided i needed a name... so the thought about it and came up with " larmus " and have stuck with it ever sense, LAR- larry or lawrence being my first name and MUS- is a play on my last name moore.

there's a bit more to the story but its kinda offensive and im not going to tell, PM me if ya really want to know.

And if you shift your secret lab from the shores of Lake Titicaca to an isolated mountaintop in the Andes, would you then be a Hillbilly?

My nickname has a somewhat lengthy background, and more than likely will be boring to most, but it has nothing to do with the CIA or African Americans.

I was a law enforcement firearms instructor from the service revolver days until the Glock auto pistols. Our big thing was to remind our students to concentrate on the front sight, and "sight and squeeze." We used to walk the line behind our designated students, usually four or five at a time, when the line was hot and shout, "Sight and squeeze" to keep the recruits from snapping or tugging on the trigger and to remind them to concentrate on their sights.

My avatar is a photo a relative of mine took of Geronimo just before he surrendered.

I feel a great affinity to both the fictional Cyrano de Bergerac of Rostand's immortal play and the real Cyrano Savinien de Bergerac upon whom Rostand's character is based. Although I lack his awesome proboscis, like my namesake I know my way around fine steel, am handy with a pen and do not suffer fools gladly regardless of their rank. And like them, the Rostand version particularly, I often feel unlovable and unloved. My nom de plume fits me well.

Soldier Medic is the name given to by the Drill Sergeants when they addressed you during combat medic school. The drills sergeant would say something like "hey! you! soldier medic, do you wana un ass yourself before I use the the wrong side of my foot to help you with it!

Its also a way to address a drill sergeant when you pass them by but you dont need to stop and stand at ease. I would pass by and say "Soldier medic Drill Sergeant!" and the DS will respond with a "Warrior Spirit" shortly after i would respond with a loud "HHOOOOOAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!".

Its a Medic thing......
