tips on growing racks

does anyone know why the racks on the bucks up here are so small? their necks are pretty big but their racks are tiny (1x1 2x2)

ant help is appreciated.

acorns and soy beans in the environment tend to lead to bigger racks. also if you give them time to grow, say 5-7 years old they'll have bigger racks.

alot of this is hear say and different upon hunter style and environment.

proper nutrition year round is a must. secondly younger bucks need to be left alone during hunting. if your bucks are getting over 3yrs, and have good sized bodies but grow small racks, they are lacking nutrients, and need a mineral supplement ( not just a salt block). my guess is your seeing alot of big bodied young deer.
