Wife and I live in Roseville and usually shoot our wheelguns indoors at The Gun Room in Elk Grove. We occasionally go to the outdoor Cordova Shooting Center in Rancho Cordova. We prefer the indoor range though because we compete with each other and usually burn through less ammo when doing so.

Greetings from FarNorCal...Mt. Shasta...where there's enough room to shoot your Mosin without worrying about hitting someone in the next town. Have a couple local ranges too, if that's your thing.

OLLs. Maybe since y'all shoot there, try to let them know that some of them are in fact, california legal...

Lessee...24,000 mile circumference...divided by 24 hours...that's 1000mph rotational speed...add in the coriolis effect...minus daylight savings time...plus continental drift...umm...180 grains....I think that only applies to the east coast.
Out here I believe it's Tokyo that's in danger... |

Grew up in Arbuckle, live in Sacramento now, moving to Rocklin shortly. Usually spend my time at either the Yolo Sportsman's range (there ya go 74man) or the Sacramento Valley Shooting Center in Sloughouse. If you want to shoot past 100 yards, Sac Vally Shooting Cntr is the place to go. out to 300 yards w/o a membership. With a membership they have out to 1000 yards. good staff too. The Gun Room in Elk Grove and the Cordova Shooting Center in Rancho Cordova aren't worth the money in my opinion. TGC is cool if you want to get out of the weather. CSC is overpriced and the staff are a little extreme. Tossed a good friend off the range for shooting an SKS they assumed wasn't CA legal. If you're in the area, go to Yolo (a little further, but it's cheaper and the staff is much better) or SVSC (same price with more range).

Corning, Cal. Here. Been in the area most of my life. When growing up, eveything south of Chico was considered Southern Cal. No offense, just the way our family was.

I usually go shooting in the mountains up near Applegate, but I'm considering buying a family membership to the Rancho range as my wife and daughters shoot also.

For some reason I have never seen this part of the forum...
Hail from Chico, home of Sierra Nevada Brewery and 14 bars within stumbling distance of CSU Chico!

Hey there...I'm in between the Auburn and Grass Valley area. Mainly shoot out at Spenceville wildlife range since they closed the one in Colefax. I used to shoot at the Rancho Cordova range when I lived in Orangevale, took my hunters safety course there actually. Bit of a drive from where I live now though.

I live in Rancho Cordova, Cordova shooting range is ok for a quick run to the range, but I prefer going up to the hills or Sac valley.
XD I also took my hunter safety course there back in the 80's.
