AWESOME! NorCal Roll Call!

Who all is in the NorCal area? I'm located in East Bay and have met up with Cheapblaster and R5CYA (John) before. I can easily get to Chabot to shoot, but that's the only Range that I know. I'm sort of unfamiliar with the area.

Let's get a big group together and swarm the range!

CD where you at now?

sc928, I've been up there a few times since I got out here... North Georgia ain't got nothing on them...

Although being that I'm from NG, I'd have to say that I prefer Georgia, but sheesh!

Hi FS00008, Yuba City checking in here. The Twin Cities Rod & Gun Club have a 100 yard range in Yuba City. Twelve covered positions, 4 at 25 yds and 8 at 50/100 yds. Tootin' my own horn here 'cause I'm the club treasurer. We're currently undergoing a changing of the guard and trying to get some type of shooting program going. An uphill struggle but I think worth it.

Lol, at CGO!

MB, that sounds like a pretty nice setup, but you're about 150 miles from where I live :-(.

I'd love to get up that way sometime for a mass G&G member shoot though!

FS00008, hey there brother. Great start up for Kalifornia. Now if only our state so called leaders learn more about guns we could have more fun. As for shooting ranges Chabot is a very nice range. Even on a foggy day. I have shot competively up there. Very well organized and Safety well enforced. I have though been a member of the Diablo Rod and Gun Club for some time now. That is in Concord just off Hwy.4. Alot of activities happening there. Here are a couple of web sites for you and eveyone else out there looking for a place to do some shooting. Yea hey there Dean! I like Chabot quite a bit! I can't say that I've been to the other ranges, however I have been to the Livermore Range and like it quite a bit. We ought to set up a group of G&G shooters to go to the ranges sometime soon!

Nor Cal Introduction

Hey Folks!

I'm new the forum, however not so new to the area or throwing lead down range. I live in Marysville on the weekends but work in SF Bay area during the week.

I'm currently building up a tactical/ AR-15 mutt. Looking to get to know folks in the area -either SF or Yuba/Placer county area who I can get advice from, go shooting with, etc.

I was in the USMC for 7 years. I miss the discipline of expert shooting. Looking very much to get back to my roots.

I'm Jeff -- be sure to drop me a hello!

PS - MadBeaver, I have yet to hit up twin cities. I checked the calendar but no love all this week or weekend!?!

Welcome to the forum WickedHund! Be sure to drop by the New Members introduction forum and introduce yourself to the rest of G&G :-).

I'd love to get a bunch of people together to take over the range one day! Maybe a bunch of Mosins? :-)

I know, I know.. I can't help but rep the Mosin Nagant. I have the disease :-).

Good luck with the AR-15 build WH. You going to do an MM or U15 featureless build or accessorize it out?

Welcome aboard "Wicked (Jeff) Hund!!" As for us nor-cal shooters a "day at the range" could be great. F.Y.I. I was once the M1 Garand chairman at my range. I was in the process of selling my house, that did'nt sell, and had past the torch on to another jarhead,Greg. I also started the "military arms match" at the www.diablorodandgun.com. And have participated in other matches there also. We have a 200yrd. range there as well. Club members only. Check the web site for further info. Anyway guys military arms are and is my flavor. Got a FFL 03 license. Its addicting. As for us hooking up sounds great FS00008. Set a date for when and where. We should bring no less than five rifles...yeah right:-) gobble....gobble!

Lol, I can probably bring two. I need to buy the right scope+mount for my 91/30 first, and then get it zeroed in.

I'm also on a quest to fulfill the CMP requirements!
