I used to be a "Jayhawk" till I saw the light and moved to Arkansas 5 years ago......only regret is not doing it sooner. Don't miss the regressive Kansas property taxes one tiny bit!!!!

Tyro

Hey all, I be stayin down around Tyro. Thats about fifteen miles from the nearst Wal-mart at Monticello. I shore do like it here, I use to live at Woodlawn over between Star City and Rison but had to move. I knew when they paved the road it was only a matter of time until we would be having to lock the doors at night

The posts here come in waves it seems. Welcome to the forum we have several members from Alaska as well here at G&G. If I were to leave AR I'd probably head to AK, it sure looks pretty up there.

Howdy from the Dust Bowl chapter of displaced Arkies! I'm in Tulsa now, but all my DNA comes out of Searcy and Boone Counties. When I moved to Tulsa my mama said "Do you know what an Okie is?" I said "No ma'am, what?" she said "An Arkie with his brains knocked out". She was a dandy.

Tulsa is actually a pretty nice town if you stay off the north side. Only about an hour from deer camp. I had a stop in Oklahoma City for a while too, and Tulsa is heads and shoulders over that town. I live close to the Ark River and have seen bald eagles in trees 5 minutes from the house.

that should help. I hunt the ozarks north of russellville. Two weeks ago I walked up on a bear while I was squirel hunting. That helps to.
