I didn't think we had an accent either, until I'd lived in California for four years and my sister came to visit.
It's sort of a drawl, sounds almost Southern. I was quite surprised at how distinct it was.
I've been back in Indiana for 37 years now, (with a brief return to CA while employed on a rocket project) and I can't hear it at all anymore.

Yep, live and work in the Fort. I go shooting in Huntington quite often. I like the range there and some of the characters you meet like the "Range Officer" I'm gonna say he's ex marine . . . he's say's hoorah a lot. Cool guy though, helps folks out that are newbies to shooting and such.

Stew Man Fu,

I've meet one of the Range Officers at the Huntington Range. He is a larger fellow but seems like a pretty good guy. I only live a few miles from the range, but usually just shoot at home.
