Smile Gwinnett County

Seems there are a few of us Ga. boys on the line. Going to the Chik-Fil-A bowl today. The wife is a big GT fan. Her father went to school there. I went to Missouri. The Tigers did their thing in the Alamo Bowl. Felt sorry for the kicker. First one he has probably missed all season. But Mizzou got a TD and made it all well.

Anybody shoot cotton tails out toward Charlie Elliott, or east of Lilburn/Snellville? I would love to find a place to try to get a mess again. I used to run them with beagles in Missouri, but that was long ago. Y'all have a Happy New Year!

Grew up at Fort Benning, GA. but now live in Arizona. I will be at the game Saturday rooting for the Atlanta Falcons. You may leave the state, but you never leave your teams. Go DAWGS.

Between!

Everybody knows Loganville is between Snellville and Between.... which is just west of Monroe. You get flooded this week, Blindmage?

My last post was a bad refrence to a bad TV commercial that they used to show here for a Chevy dealership, 'Maxie Price Chevrolet, in Monroe and Loganville'. They don't show the commercial any more thank goodness, and I think the dealership went deep 6.

And yes, the creek rose a little and Allatoona actually resembles a lake again (for now).

Ribbing you

Couldn't resist because I think Between is such a funny name for a community. I should talk, I used to live in Hungry Horse, Montana and worked at Spotted Bear RS. That used to result in some unusual comments from people not used to Montana names. I heard Allatona went up 9 feet.
I went perusing pawn shots this morning. Went to one in Snellville. They had a Marlin 88-11 semiauto that I don't think I have ever seen before. The magazine tube was in the stock, and had to be totally removed to load. I need to look it up. Heavy long barreled old gun. Bluing wasn't bad, but the stock was a little rough.

Might go to the range this afternoon before the football games and see if I can zero in my old Mossberg 44b with the iron sights.

Trying to convince myself tomorrow would be a good day to go squirrel hunting. VH
