I went perusing pawn shots this morning. Went to one in Snellville. They had a Marlin 88-11 semiauto that I don't think I have ever seen before. The magazine tube was in the stock, and had to be totally removed to load. I need to look it up. Heavy long barreled old gun. Bluing wasn't bad, but the stock was a little rough.

Might go to the range this afternoon before the football games and see if I can zero in my old Mossberg 44b with the iron sights.

Trying to convince myself tomorrow would be a good day to go squirrel hunting. VH
Ya i was driving on 20 a few days ago and it hasnt looked this good in years!

Welcome to G&G. I do some casting and loading with Glenn Knight. He lives between Abbeville and Fitzgerald. Do you know him?

Anybody shoot cotton tails out toward Charlie Elliott, or east of Lilburn/Snellville? I would love to find a place to try to get a mess again. I used to run them with beagles in Missouri, but that was long ago. Y'all have a Happy New Year!

I only went through Snellville one time. It was late at night and there was a low fog on the ground. The place freaked me out so bad, I swore if I ever made it to the actual city limits, and got out alive I would never go back. Is that town shaped like an inkblot or what. Having a "you are now entering" and "you are now leaving" Snellville signs fifty feet apart all the way down a straight highway kinda freaks a man out. I told my buddy if Rod Serling walked out of the shadows I was going to crap my pants.

Now you know why everbody is "somebody" in Snellville. Just don't let the sun set on your body inside the city limits. That means your on the west side of the city limit sign. Come visit! Get after those hogs on the Oky any?

The lady I got directions from was friendly enough. It seemed like a nice town except for all of those city limit signs. I thought for a while someone had slipped something in my food.

I guess I should post something...

Originally from Griffin, Spalding County (birthplace of Doc Holiday ((which is funny when you consider I used to live next to some Earps in Shawnee,OK)), lived for about the first 8 years of my life in Griffin and then up in Jonesboro. I spent another year or two down in Jonesboro, my dad still lives there and didn't know him for most of my life and so spent a year getting to know him. Now, I'm Oklahoma City, but Georgia is never really far from mind.

Ever shoot at the Dixon WMA range just south of Waycross on US1? I go there a lot, I live just on the Florida side of the line south of Folkston.

I used to live in Forsyth county. Went to school in Statesboro (Bulloch County) for a while. Now I'm out here in the People's Republic of Kommiefornia :-(

I miss the country, the women, the food, the free-state firearms, CCW, and the Dawgs :-(
