Well, Hi everyone. I've been on this board for a few months and just found out about the local areas. I live in north central MN about 24 miles north of Brainerd. I have three mil-surps that are shootable, or will be after I get the cases formed for the 6.5x53r Dutch.

BTW, haven't seen any deer yet this week. I'll keep looking. Using my SKS this year. Hope to use the Dutch carbine next year.

I just joined the G&G a few days ago... First off - Hi everyone.

So this is me:

I was born and raised Minnesotan. I grew up in St. Cloud. I used to go up to Gatzke all the time, my grandparents had a farm 2 miles west. My grampa now lives in Hibbing. I visit him every chance I get.

I live in Germany now, but I am looking for a way to get back. I come back on vacation at least twice a year. Once in May and then in Sept/Oct for a 2 week canoe trip in the BWCA. There is a gun range near St. Cloud that I hit up a few times when I come, it's owned by DPMS.

My arsenal:
Mosin Nagant M44 - The multi-purpose tool shoot/grill at the same time
Mosin Nagant 91/30
Yugo M48a
Ruger Mini-14
Stevens 311a 20ga

Soon to be in my arsenal (They're still my dad's until I move back):
Ruger 10/22
Bubba 10/22
Ruger 44 Carbine
Hawkin .50 ML

Sorry Capt'n, those are for the M95 Steyr-Mannlicher carbine, used by the Dutch, Romanian, and a couple of others. Mine's pretty beat up, with lots of pitting in some of the metal. Haven't fully researched it yet. It's not marked 'Hemberg', so I don't think it's particularly rare or valuable.

Welcome Paul.

Gotta love the Northwest Corner. ;-)

So where are you at? 40 miles puts you past Little Falls.
