One Scope Wanted for Mini 14 and a Model 70

I own a Mini 14 in .223 cal and a Win Model 70 pre-64 in .30-'06. The Ruger already has ring mounts, but not the Winchester.

I would like to purchase a reasonably priced ($ 100.00) rifle scope that can be used on both rifles. My maximum shooting range in terms of vision is about 200 yards. I wear corrective lenses for myopia and have weak eyesight.

I would appreciate any suggestions as to brands, magnification, and such.

Thank you all very much.

My cheap Tasco 3x9 is still going strong after 1200 rounds. Paid $35 at Walmart. No problems with the Mini. I have it on a B Square mount.

I have the Nikon Prostaff 3-9 X 40 on both my Mini 14 and my Marlin M1895 .450 (2-7 X 32 Prostaff).

Your price range makes it a little challenging. YOu might shop eBay as one suggestion.

I think a scope in the 2-7x range is just about ideal for anything except competition and 500 yard shots on Antelope!
