Hello from Central Pennsylvania

Hello,

Been hawking this site for some time now. Just bought a PA 63 the other night. It is in great shape, no scratches or marks of any kind. Have not had any range time with it yet, but it will be soon. Scoped out the special grip vendor and will have to order the red walnut grips as well as the Wolf spring sets. I did put a nightsiter dot on the front sight. Works great. Highly recommend them. I have them on my other guns as well.

I appreciate everyones imput and am looking forward to spending more time here.

Thanks

North Star,

Congratulations on the new purchase, if you have the capabilities I would love to see a picture of your PA-63 with the nightsighter dot.

I've had mine for about a year now and I'm very impressed with this firearm, it conceals like a dream and shoots incredably accurate.

You should try taking her to the range before making the spring set modifications if only to know how you've improved the performance. Personally, I like the hard pull of the double action, at the range I always shoot in single action which isn't a problem at all. Although I typically carry with an IWB holster, I do sometimes carry front pocket and like the added security of knowing it will take a team of wild horses to pull the trigger accidentally. God forbid, in a quick draw panic situation the hard pull double action is going to feel like a finger through soft butter with the adrenaline flowing.

Just my 2 cents.

Again congratulations and welcome to the PA-63 family,

Tom

Thanks for the welcome. I'll get out to the range here soon and give a range report. I'll also try to get some pix of the nightsiters. I'm not the greatest at transferring pix from the camera to the net but I'll give it a try. Thanks again

Hi North Star,
New to the forum, and chose your name because of your location. Recently purchased a PJK-9HP, and stamped on one side is K.B.I., Inc. in Harrisburg,PA. Can't locate them on line, and wonder if they are still in business. Looking for additional magazines. Told S&W would fit, they don't. Am also interested in your nitesighter. Where do you get them? I too have not fired my new purchase yet, but looking forward to it.

Welcome aboard. I did the springs and the red walnut grips as you did. I tried the Nitesiters on mine too. How did you get yours to stay? Mine have come off after a range session. They are a neat idea though. It's a great little pistol. I think you will be happy.

Thanks for the welcome, I am looking forward to being on board with you all.

pbrdriver: I picked up the nitesiters form www.nitesiters.com great website. He has added quite a bit more since my last purchase.

To have them applied: I clean or scrape of the old paint off the front sight and wipe it with denatured alcohol. Let dry, then with the eyeglasses in place, (Older eyes need some help as the dots are quite small). Place the dot in the exact location and press down with the tooth pick that comes with it. I then borrow my wife' s hairdryer and heat the sight for a few minutes. It helps to improve the adhesive bond. After that, expose to light source and watch it glow. Great product.

I have the Nitesiters on my KelTec PF-9 and my Taurus PT-1911. They work great.

Enjoy

N.S.

Thanks. I'll try the hair dryer trick. I learned about the Nitesiters over on the KelTec board. I agree, they are a pretty nifty gimmick. I have them on a couple of other pistols also, but the sights had an indent that held them in better.
