I tried to find the thread where I said OU over TT by a touchdown or two. However OU won by 44 points. I remember a few naysayers, saying something about hard offenses leading to a high scoring game, with TT over the top!
Okay, Okay, just let me gloat! For a week or so, at least!

OU can't play Texas for the Big 12 championship...they are both in the southern division. If OU beats OSU and ties Texas with one loss in conference play, the team that is higher ranked in the polls goes to the Big 12 championship against Missouri. I think that's how it works. The win by Texas in head-to-head may be the deciding factor though.
Oklahoma has the strongest SOS. If they beat OSU and Mizzou, They'll play in the Miami for the National Championship. Hell, they'll probably be ranked #2 anyway, so .....

I was actually mad about the game. Mainly because i was excited to watch a good football game and it wasn't anything near that. oh well, I just think this proved that TT is not what everyone thought they were. Going in everyone was saying how Graham Harrell was such a good quarterback and showed the poise to carry his team back in the win over texas, now i think that may have been a fluke. Obviously he and the rest of the Red Raiders cracked and broke under the pressure of the big game. They don't deserve to be in the top ten after a performance as poor as that.
I'm not a sports fan. Living here, I hear a lot of OU stuff though. I saw the score going into half time, . . . 44-14? Something like that. But, OU being who they are, I didn't figure it guaranteed a win.
They've had a habit of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. It's unbelievable to me that OSU beat them a couple years ago. But then, I really don't think it's right to have amateur college teams playing against paid professionals.
^Being a little tough on OU there my friend! You may be confusing the 70's and 80's with today and if the truth be known practically all the big name schools were involved in the illegal perks! Including OSU. My proof is in knowing an OSU athlete on the dole during the 70's.
i think itl be #1 FLORIDA vs #2 OKLAHOMA for the national championship, there will be a combined 100+ points scored, idk who would come out on top. prolly who ever has the ball last will win

I hope you're right Tippmann! They are, at this time the two hottest teams playing but OU still has Okla State and possibly Missouri if things work out and even then it's a crap shoot as to who will be in the big game.

If Oklahoma beats two more ranked teams, I don't see how they couldn't go to the big dance! That will be the toughest SOS in the history of college football! That will mean Oklahoma has played 7 ranked teams this year!

i dont understand how ut is ranked ahead of ou, yes ut beat ou but texas had played i believe 4 ranked teams in which they lost 1 to texas tech.. a team that oklahoma DERAILED!.. and ou has played 5 so far and the 6th will be on saturday. if they beat ok state they should with out a doubt be in the big 12 championship game and then posibly a national title game.

I think it will be UF and OU, which is a good matchup on paper. But I think OU and Stoops will choke again. Although the Big 12 as a whole by far has the best offences, I don't think they will put up big numbers against a top rated SEC defense. Florida will rip 'Bama a new one in Atlanta. I just hope the media's love affair with USC doesn't mess it up this year.
P.S. LSU will be back next year and vengence will be ours
