Live in Central Valley and would move out in a heartbeat, but unfortunately wife won't. Grandchildren here. I don't like the politics or gun laws of this state.

Newbie

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum.

I'm in So Cali, born and raised, but I lived in Gatlinburg, TN for 3 years, it's beautiful up there, about 50 miles from Knoxville.

Anyone know any good Gun shops in Cali. I'm looking for a good deal on aYugo SKS and a Glock.

Sacramento here.

I have come and gone from california several times. Every time
I left California I returned, I have given up. This is home, and this is where I am staying. There are alot of nice places in this great nation of ours, but this is my home.

SoCal native here. Other than 5 years in the Philippenes, I've pretty much lived in San Diego or Riverside my entire life. While the politics, crowds, and gun regulations suck, I really don't see myself moving anywhere else, just don't think I'd survive a winter in too many other places.

I have purchased through various gun stores and didn’t like the people skills, so I probably won’t buy from them again.
You might consider Evans Gunsmithing Shooters World in Anaheim, I was impressed. I bought two pistols from them, because they offer a life time warranty on the firearm and I like the salesman (Chris). I would probably buy again through them. Another thing about Evans, it has a shooting range inside so you can shoot it all you want during your 10 day wait (but they keep your firearm during those 10 days).
Good luck finding your a reliable shop.

Born and raised in Santa Ana.

Keep looking cgo !! I lived on or near Vandenberg AFB from 1958 to 1975. An original beach bum !! Back before there were paved roads to Jalama and Blacks Beach.

For those interested, there is a HUGE feral hog population on Vandenberg.

Roseville, here, suburb of Sacto. Born in San Diego, grew up all over LA, moved to suburb of Chattanooga, TN when I was 14. Graduated from univ in Nashville. Navy time in Florida Panhandle and South Texas, where I married a Texas Aggie. 29 years later she's still my shootin' partner and scuba buddy.

All the while I was gone I couldn't wait to get back to California. Great people and hunting/fishing in TN. Florida was just a pitstop. Texas grows on ya for the same reasons as TN, plus the wide open spaces are addicting.

Finally ended up stationed back in California in Lemoore and been in my home state ever since. I may have the opportunity to move to Reno area in the near future. The politics in California are getting to me, so I may consider the move. The politics in Nevada have their problems too, but generally respect people's personal freedoms. Just don't know how long I'll care to live in the high desert environment. Time will tell.

Antelope here and trying to move to TX. Originally from Eastern KY. I lived in Reno for three years. Only moved back to PRK because I was given a house.
Reno is really nice as long as you don't gamble (I don't). Great places to shoot just off McLaren (McClaren sp.) and cheap to live. people are great.
Desert not bad. Being from Eastern KY, I found winters quite tolerable. More snow (yukk!) but not as cold. You can read a newspaper outside at 2am if there is snow and clouds due to the city lights. Good place to raise kids. Great chow at Baldinis in Sparks. Great seafood buffet at the Atlantis.

Born in Los Angeles (Montebello), raised in Anderson (10 miles south of Redding) and now live in Yuba City. I'm a rangemaster at our local club and am trying to get more and varied shoots going. I retire at the end of June and plan on reloading and shooting and reloading and shooting and ... honeydos (Yes, Dear).
