Anyone know what happened to old hi-point forum?

Hi I am new to this forum and looking forward to it building. I have not yet got my first hi-point but am continually looking in all the forums near Melbourn Fl area. Any new news on the next generation carbines with the improved stock?

I ordered a new 4595 this past Friday. It should be here this coming Tuesday. I'll post pictures when it gets here.

Holy Moley! Is the much-ballyhooed .45ACP High-Point finally a reality!?

I've been eagerly awaiting it too.

news on the .45 carbine from highpoint. this came in today from highpoint.

Dear Sir,

The Hi-Point factory still has not started production for the .45 ACP carbine. We’ve been informed it will be available early 2009, but we haven't been given an exact date yet.

We will be updating our website Hi-Point Firearms when the carbine is released and being shipped; please check on the site now and then for any news. We’ll be keeping you posted as best we can.

Crapdoodle. Hi-Point may be waiting to see what the Obamists and the evil blue-staters do regarding gun rights and another assault weapons ban before they commit to production. From a business standpoint, it makes no sense to tool up and put into production a gun that the anti-gunners will outlaw before it gets to market.

And yes, I do want a 4595. I'll settle for a 995 if I have to - but I want the 4595. It's as close to my daddy's Thompson that he carried during World War II as I'm ever likely to be able to afford.

And for those wishing to get the same type of information in a much less stuffy atmosphere check out another great Hi Point forum at HiPointTalk.Com • Index page

Both are a PLEASURE to post at as SNOBS are non existent!

Who cares? I had the misfortune to acquire one once. It put me off for life.
