Minnesota deer hunt results (pics)

Spent last week in the rat shack in Northen Minnesota guys deer hunting. We never saw one other hunter all week.

"A" team took out a couple bucks the week before...all me and the brother got were couple does.

I did drop mine with a new test load...Sierra 220 grain round nose loaded to max powder charge. Used a NEF single shot in 30-06 caliber with an aimpoint on top for sights.

It was one of the coldest weeks I can recall. We were going out a couple morning with readings of +2 degrees F.

Here's a couple of pic's.

And as some of you know I usually like to humiliate my older brother on the Internet and here is my pic for this year.

Nice pics. I just got back from Wisconsin - Luck area and we didn't see as many deer as the past years. I think the 4 day antlerless in October thinned them out. Anyway, I'll be heading back for the muzzleloader hunt next month.

I remember 2 cold minnesota openers, which resulted in my largest deer. 1993, 6 below at Lake Osakis, big 8 pointer. 2003, 23 below at Lake Osakis, another 8 pointer.

I deerless this year, except for the doe my wife got with the Saab!
