Dogleg Hammer Question

I'm restoring an early M1 carbine and I don't know the difference between the Type 1 and Type 2 dogleg hammers.

My carbine book (Canfield) says that the Type 1 has a slot milled on top, the Type 2 has a flat area but the book has no photos.

Can anyone post a picture or drawing that shows the difference between the two?

Thanks for any help

You'll know the difference as soon as you see one.

Well, actually I have seen at least one type of dogleg but I couldn't tell you if it was type 1 or 2. The seller didn't know either.

I can tell dogleg from straight hammers but not type 1 from 2.

Still need a picture to see the difference.
