M1 Carbine markings

I recently bought a M1 Carbine and found it has numerous markings, can anyone help me out? What is a good source book for the M1 Carbine?
The receiver is Postal Meter, the barrel is IBM, the mag release has a M and a Wa, the recoil plate is stamped rock-ola, the receiver also has a U stamped on it, the bayonet lug is stamped EMQ, the front band is stamped JMQ. The stock has a P on the pistol grip with what looks like Q-RATC in the sling well. What is the best source for parts, I would like to have as many parts from one manufactor as possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The mag catch is a WWII upgrade part by Walt Manufacturing. You don't say where on the receiver the U is located. It makes a difference. The lug was made by Endicott Machine Co. and sent to J.M. Mueller for assembly into the barrel band. The sling well marking would be Q-RMC. It is for Quality Hardware by Rock-Ola manufacturing. The best source for parts info is the various carbine sites. Make comprehensive notes. No single source will give you all the available info.
