Deer Camp Gear

Not sure if there is a better place for this post?

Do you have any specific items you can't live without while in the great outdoors? (excluding essentials like tents, ammo & 'mountain money')

My small band of hunters (usually 3) stay out for 5-7 days, and since no motor vehicles are allowed we pack 3 horses up. Our site has two running streams and a very old well (which works as a makeshift cold storage) so the majority of our gear is acutally food.

For be personally, my most important extra item is my alcohol stove. I started with a mil-surplus stove, and now upgraded to a Trangia series. Even at high altitudes these things are great! I cook 3-4 times a day on mine and it's a lot more convenient and efficient than getting a campfire up to speed. Of course I had to get a titanium spork to go along because, well I am just a sucker for snazzy gear...

The item that I most forget to bring - Chapstick; something I am just not comfortable sharing...

I'll add "mountain money" to my vocabulary. Thanks for the spelling lesson.
