I wish I lived in New Mexico... does that count? The Gila wilderness is one of my favorite places on earth.

Well since you know what the Gila is, you are sure welcome here.

I have backpacked through the Gila wilderness a few times and that is my favorite wilderness I have ever been too. Since you brought it up, I kinda want to go up there again.

Add another to the list at Albuquerque. Wife and I just got here from Ramstein in April 08. Been busy with the move and work. Kirtland is nice; however, at 1700 roll up the sidewalks, cause the palce is empty!

Hello All,
I haven't posted in a while. I got the .300 I talked about in an earlier post. I'm taking it out to get acquainted for the first time Monday and to do some scouting for a possible new deer hunting place this fall.

Anybody have any suggested spots for the spring turkey hunt. My 13 year really wants to try that. I've never turkey hunted before. This will be new and different.

Glad to hear from some new folks.

Let us know how the .300 works for you. Is it a .300WSM, .300 WinMag, or something else?

I need to get to the range this weekend and play with the new Remington 700 VTR; worst part the wife was reviewing it - she had that look. Damn worried she will have control over it. I need to lie about it, alot of recoil.

Hahaha!!! You could just give it to her and buy yourself another one though.
