I was unaware that you could buy firearms from another state other than your own. Don't you have to be a resident of a state before purchasing any firearm in that state?

Yeah legally yes you do, this was referring to illegal guns. They estimate that in some states nearly 1,000 sales are from out of state buyers buying them illegally.

Again, you have to dig for what they are talking about since that article doesn't really cite anything that specific. It just generalizes everything.

Just noticed the woman in the STLToday article is shooting a Kel-Tec P11, great little gun for conceal carry. Good for her and others who refuse to lay down and be victims.

IIRC, and don't quote me on this, but I believe you can buy long guns over 50 years old out of state and take possession right then and there. This is my understanding, but if someone knows more than me, please feel free to correct me!
