Looked like a stock post war slide, no markings. UNTIL:

I got it wet with some gun oil, then the "SG" was visible as daylight under the phosphate.

Sometimes they need a good cleaning before the marks are visible. Winchesters are particularly prone to that due to frequent rough machining inside the slide box.
