Now this is a little more like it. But i still don't think I'd want it or it done to anything of mine. Just doesn't seem to be as durable a finish. Sure, the Dura-Kote is a durable finish, but I just can't see, patriotic or not, doing that to any firearm. Maybe a set of grips,a forearm or even just a flag on it, but not the hole thing. But then, that's me.

if the parts were made of custom stained wood/plastic, then i'd think it would be ok to have....but if just painted, nahh, won't last.

Very interesting. The problem with that is that with either rifle when the SHTF the evil ones will be able to see it in a heartbeat. Couple that with the fact that it is hard to run with 6 months worth of MREs and water and wearing a nuclear fall out suit.....just dont' make sense. But then again....at night color is not as visible so maybe he shoudl mount a quad rail on it and mount night vision equipment.
