"According to Gerald Celente, you’d better be. Celente is the CEO of Trends Research Institute, who in mid-November made public his prediction that by 2012, America will witness mass food riots, squatters rebellions by the homeless, tax rebellions by the economically strapped, and even pockets of armed resistance as economic conditions worsen."
Let's hope he's wrong but be prepared if it happens. I wonder with all these type prediction's posted here from time to time if were liveing in the last day's.
If so then, are we all ready to meet our maker ? I am and look forward to the day I'm taken out of this worn out troubled world.
If this is not the case I better learn how to garden and shoot straight LOL...A.H
Start getting your neighborhood 'watch' together. I have an ex-LEO across from me, a security guard from my building (who also hunts and reloads) very nearby, and another hunting/reloading/MC buddy just down the road. Most of the rest are elderly, a few college-age who'll be pretty useless - but with only two dirt-roads into the 'hood', we could guard ourselves fairly well.
Keeping the 'riff-raff' out will be paramount - and we can make combined store runs if things get dangerous.
I'm trying to get the others into a 'prepper' mindset - but it's hard with most - especially if they are on fixed incomes.
barry has already said "things will get worse...", so I figure food & fuel prices are gonna go up, certain things will get scarce, taxes will eat us alive in the coming years - get what you figure you need NOW!
I am SO glad my property and vehicles are paid for. Interest rates are already climbing.
I still need to get seriously into gardening - but it takes a good two years to get one going productively. I'm starting too late already, but will do what I can.
In the coming years, what is called "survival" now will simply become "living" for many.
Now, as a whole do yall really think the American people will stand for this when were the "quote" bread basket to the world ?
We still hve the power to vote out politition's to bring about changes best for us the American people.
Unless a famine or drought occurs we should fare well should'nt we ?
This here, taken from the link provided in the original post, is very concerning to me.
"And of course, we all now know about the five U.S. Army brigades, all combat-hardened in Iraq , who have been domestically deployed with little mainstream media fanfare. That’s in addition to the 20,000 troops being sent to the American southwest, ostensibly for “border patrol” operations. Then there are the KBR/Halliburton detention facilities recently constructed at various locations."
What are some of your thoughts in regards to this???
And does anyone know where these 5 brigades are stationed or which brigades they are?
Anyone know where these so-called KBR/Halliburton detention facilities are located?

I don't know if the camps are real or not. If they were ever going to do something with all of the illegals in this country you would first have to have a place to hold them while they were being processed. Just a thought.
In the 1940s we put american Citizens in Camps. The Selection was based on an arbitray decision that certain "types" we a risk. The most decorated regiment in history came out of those camps--to earn the respect they needed to by accepted. but, we still put those folks in camps in the first place.
In the 1800s, the President, Andy Jackson (*spit*) decided to deprive 1000s of their property and homes, and force march then out of organized states into territories, against their will. (Some of them were my distant ancestors--I spit on Jacksons memory) The Supreme Court told he he couldn't do it. He did it anyway, using the Army.
In the 1860s, Lincoln used the clause in the constitution that says that the president can suspend habeus corpus and the freedom of the press in areas that were rebelling. thing is--he suspended these freedoms in areas that weren't, just to shut up opponents.
This year, the Posse commitatus act was repealed quietly by congress, to allow the federal government to use federal troops to enforce the law as they define it.
Yeah--the time is coming, and coming soon.

Those are mighty strange observations there fella! As gas prices are plunging due to less demand, house prices are dropping 20'ish %%, they give you two trucks for the price of one in Florida, and the interest rates are going down, down, down... That's all out here in the real world though, for what it's worth. Gardening is a good idea. Keeps you calm and happy!

All of you all who are ready to "meet your maker" can speak for yourselves and I mean no disrespect but being the type who honestly isnt the most religious person out there and still pretty young Im not quite ready to leave this world yet or see it go down in flames.
But I guess ill still be more prepared for it as the next guy.
I'm only going to comment on the one statement in the quote earlier. "Troops domestically deployed" Ok, that is a really silly way of saying they are back at their home stations following deployment to the war zone.
Troops are not "deployed" domestically. We live here.
milproakron ... too many people are afraid that the military will turn against the populous, blindly following "orders" by our politicians.
... in my humble opinion, too many people believe the military will blindly follow the orders not realizing it is the duty of the soldier, sailor, airman and marine to not follow orders that are believed to be illegal, unlawful orders. I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've shown that it is their duty to not follow these orders.
... again people ... the military is the tool of the American people, the American citizens like you and I. It is my belief (and I know everyone has a varying opinion) that the military would likely turn against the politicians before turning against their families and friends ...
... contrary to popular belief, we do not follow orders blindly. When and if we are sold out to the U.N. ... the one thing you can count on is help taking out those blue helmets.

Let's hope and pray that your perception is accurate about US soldiers remembering and adhering to their sworn obligations to uphold and defend the US Constitution, against enemies foreign and domestic...
...cause we've seen in our recent history where troops turned on civilians when conditions were tense and public hysteria was high.
When there is a challenging scenario and a subsequent stimulation of public hysteria it's very difficult to predict what the outcome will be.
As you know, I'm a retired USAF veteran...
...and I've known many soldiers who would not follow an unlawful order.
However, during my two decades of service I was involved in operations that I latter found out were less than honest, which were not what we were told was really happening at the time...
Our government is highly skilled at and notorious for creating false flags...
...and then in generating public hysteria concerning the situation.

... this is true... although, I believe that now (given the socio-economic times we are in) the military and it's members are much more sensitive to the what, where, when and why than ever before.
... as I've said before, I've personally not followed an order that I believed was illegal and unlawful. Had I done so, would have killed a Saudi policeman and been sitting in Leavenworth right now. A lot of guys and gals in uniform know and realize the consequences of executing that order and that they are ultimately responsible, just as the person giving that order.
... like you, I've been involved in operations overseas when after the fact, we found out that the operation was not as labeled.
