I think your dealer, knowing there's a shortage on AR's in some areas, and him knowing because of this he can get a premium for any, he's playing on your fears.

I think if it were me, I'd wait and see. Any ban will hopefully cause some firearms to go up in value therefore if you choose to still sell, it will then be you who will or might then benefit from the sale?

But again, I'd hang onto it...

SwedeSteve he's just saying he doesn't feel like having to pay like $53.00 bucks for a box of 20 rounds for AR ammo if there ends up being this or a 500% tax on ammo is all...

His or a dealer is just trying to play on his fears if you ask me???

SELL HELL NO !!!!! if you do sell i will give you 1/2 price for it Most AR shooters are stocking up on ARs atm i know ALL ar manufactures are sold out and have a 8-12 month back order atm beaus so many people are getting there first one or getting more i know at least 5 people that have bout 10-20 striped AR lower receivers just to have backups so they can build new guns out of them if there is a ban or resell them fore a inflated price after a ban. so keep your AR and just get more parts. TBH get a 2ent AR a 6.8 or a 6.5 or even a 9mm or 45

decided to be brutal sens this is ovesly a troll.

most likely i wont sell my rifle i went through hell to gain money for the rifle. To me it isnt worth taking the loss selling it to a dealer. But to a private seller i guess i will wait it out. The only thing i really want otherwise, is a saiga 12 my dealer has 4 in stock 609.00. i dont know how good of a price that is?

2. You dont need to be sarcastic i have respect for what my dealer says.
What we think down here in the southern part is that it's "big city" and that they aren't like our smaller stores down here, not a reflection on YOU but more on the dealers. I can't imagine any dealer down here suggesting anything like what your dealer - that "you have respect for" is telling you. My question was: is the dealer also telling you that he'll "do you a favor" and give you credit toward the shotgun? If you want to sell it, you can make a pretty tidy profit cause I saw someone selling a bushmaster for...*drum roll* $1899 the other day. If you sell it on gunbroker you certainly aren't going to lose money. There is a "feeding frenzy" going on right now. The $64,000 question is still: does the dealer have your best interest at heart?

Everything's up in price, but ARs aren't jumping as muck as AKs, Saiga shotguns included.

Selling an AR at today's price for a Saiga shotgun at today's price is a bad trade. An AR right now is a good deal to keep, not to sell. Now's the time to sell your AK if you really wanted an AR but couldn't afford one. They shouldn't be close in price but they nearly are due to the Obama effect.

That dealer just wants you to sell or trade it to him so he can turn around and sell it for a ridiculous price due to the Obama panic.

Keep the AR.

I agree and say the value of some AKs are apparently much higher than I previously thought.
I recently traded a spare, slightly used old Poly AK for this unfired AR

I added the sights, optic, mount, light, trigger, grips and butt stock - it came with 4 PMAGs

The black market price of a ar post ban or total ban would prolly feed your family for 3 or 4 months . Or buy you enough gas to bug out if tshtf . I say keep it.

IF there is a ban, it well not effect the weapons you own, you just won't be able to go buy another one. Buy ammo and mags as you can afford them, you well be surprised how fast it builds up.
A 12ga is just as expensive to shoot as an AR and not as much fun. 00 buck can run 1-2 bucks a round, that adds up. It cost as much or even more if your shooting 00 buck or slugs, to feed this.

This is cheap to feed, I just bought bulk 5.56 @ .31 a round

Take it easy on Portland, not everyone up here rides thier bikes nakid

AK Lover, what shop are you dealing with, sounds like they are giving you some BS. Your AR is worth a lot more than a Sagia.

LOL, at least you knew what I was talking about.... I know you don't all ride nekkid anymore than everybody in Ashland goes nekkid during the 4th of July parade....

I've never seen two towns so close yet so far apart as Asland and Medford.
