Please correct me if I'm wrong, but, didn't we have a conservatively leaning congress during the Clinton debacle, especially the second tribulation, to keep the manwhore from completely destroying Article 2 of our Bill of Rights?
Unfortunately, we don't even have that buffer with this Obamanation!!

Enjoy your rifle and take everything your dealer says with a grain of salt. We survived the gun control legislation of 1968, 1989, 1992 and we'll make it through the next storm, which may very well be a tempest in a teapot.
Dealers have a vested interest in public paranoia and playing on your fears. And the though the gun business has some ethical players, many merchants will tell you anything they think you expect to hear in order to get deeper in your wallet.
I suggest finding a different dealer, even if it means a long drive, and steering your friends away from this snake oil salesman.

Same happened with clinton all dem controlled , passed AWB repubs got back in, I am buying guns that are not mil clones because i am not paying more than they are worth. I bought an AR after the AWB no flash supresser fixed stock and no bayonet lug. got standard cap mags for it and even a 90 rd drum not worried. just buy the PC verisons of the hated black rifle. Hell I'd rock a pink AR with flowers on it still fires the same LOL

cjleete, has it right. There are a lot of people out there hyping stuff up to increase the $$$. Some of the BS that gets piled up at the Gun Sales counters out there is absolutely ridiculous. Many gun dealers would make used car salesmen look honest. No offence meant to the honest among those who may read this, But you have all heard stories, or seen first hand what some dealers will tell someone to get a sale, or up sale.

I say, keep it. There are a lot of rumors and speculation. Remember, he has a lot more right now is a higher priority. Economy, mortgages, banks imploding, GM bankruptcy, social security, healthcare, immigration, two wars--our guns will be way down on the list.

DO NOT SELL YOUR AR-15 !

If you are in financial peril, I can see the reasoning, but no just because of Obama's past regarding "assault weapons". Whose to say that you sell it for fear of not getting the "premium price" and he doesn't ban them until a few years from now? We all know he wants a second term ... and he will not get it by attacking gun rights.
