I had a class mate in high school who would wear his underwear for weeks at a time with out washing them. When they turned black he would throw them away and buy a new pair. I think he bought 20 a year. BOY did he stink!

His name was Roy C. Last I heard he was working for the Texas Department of Corrections in Huntsville. I can give you a couple names of people who knew him as well. Guy seldom took a bath.

Field expedient underwear change: Turn them inside out and wear them backwards. Good for another week. This way you can wear one pair for a month !!
