Clark County Shooting Park

I just heard the Park was open, although when I called them the message from the range manager was that it was still under construction and the main page does yet show that they are open. Does anyone know if they are indeed open?
We were planning on going over there and doing some tactical shooting tomorrow morning.

Viva Las Vegans!!!

NO its not open yet. They had a dedication ceremony on Aug 25th in which they allowed some folks to shot out there for the day. Its not going to open until fall of 09 and I have heard as late as Dec 09 now.

I just got another email update from the county today. Figured I would post the info.
"Construction is full speed ahead. Construction is near complete on the Park Office, office furniture has been moved in and staff is waiting on a few items to be complete along with a certificate of occupancy and then staff can begin to move in. Construction crews are working diligently on the Maintenance Building, Shotgun Center, Rifle Pistol Center, and the Education Center. Its very exciting to see the transformations that these buildings are going through on a daily basis! The Host Area is nearly complete and our host program is taking off".
They are taking applications for the host program. The host program is a volunteer program for folks that want to park there RV in one of the 30 spaces and get free rent in exchange for 15 hours per week of doing various jobs around the shooting park. If anyone wants to do that fill out the app on the conty web site.

Man, wish they would have had that park up when I was living there. Now I own long guns and just desert ranges.
