Repeal of gun & ammo sales tax

2 state lawmakers in Oklahoma are trying to get the state to repeal the sales tax or guns & ammo sales tax. One of the reasons is that its too expensive for some people to buy what they need to defend themselves. It sounds like someone finally figured out it takes law enforcement too long to respond and its up to the people to defend themselves.

I contacted both of them and thanked them for bringing up this bill, and encouraged them to keep up the good work. Every Okie ought to do the same.

all I can say is- GOOD LUCK! Gov'ts never want to give up anything they take, especially taxes and especially taxes on something as evil as guns and ammo. they might have a snowball"s chance in hell of doing it in Okalahoma but certianly not any chance in most of the rest of the country.

Oklahoma is a state of mind. It exists as a stabilizing example for the rest of the nation. No stinking bank collapse here. We just stumble along hoping for the best.
I don't think the thing will pass but what it did do is point out the need to defend ourselves and maybe that sales taxes are a little too high. And possibly a message to the gun control freaks.
