223. ATR or 4x4?

I think a 223 in an ATR or a 4x4 would be sweet for me & Mossberg. If you have noticed, there aren,t very many 223s bolt actions moderately price in today's market.Stevens is the only one I,ve found for around $300.Howas,Rem,Savage,you name it and they are all priced around $500 or more.I,ve always wondered why the price hike, when it comes to the 223? I have emailed them to see if they would possibly make one in the future, but no response for about a week now. What do you think?

I would like to see the 4X4 in short actions also, especially .243,.308 and 7mm-08. I just love the looks of the 4X4 plus the removable mag. I would also like to see the ATR in 7mm-08. I want a 7mm-08!! Could you tell????

I never noticed the lack of .223s in the lower priced rifles until this thread.

Could the lack of .223s be because the lower priced rifles are usually marketed to big game hunters, and the .223 is not legal for big game in a lot of states?

I'll buy an ATR or 4x4 in .223 as soon as they are available.
