Some of us jumped on over, some didn't. At the end of the day, Chris & Jesse did a great job of managing the continued growth into what it is today. I wish Chris many more bouts of success with his baby.

When I was thinking about buying my first .45 ACP, I went to the Mail Call website because the pistol in question was a Llama. The price was great and it had barely been fired - even had its original plastic box and manual - but I remembered from my childhood reading of old American Riflemans that Llama had had quality control issues that caused many .45 shooters to scorn them. I figured the Gunny would steer me right.

There was a link to G&G from his website, so I clicked on, registered, and diffidently asked if the pistol was a good buy or a dog. I got reasoned, positive responses, read some other threads in forums for guns I owned, and realized I'd found a community where I could belong. Been here posting and enjoying the company ever since.

Thumbs up

I was thinking about what gun I could use for deer hunting. Son-in-law recognized that I had an O3A3 setting on my fireplace and suggested using it. Talked later with my brother-in-law about the gun and he suggested looking in gunandgame.com for more information. That was in June of 2002 and Jessee was the owner of the site and Chris was the software manager, plus much more. Found members here very helpful, friendly, and there was a wealth of good information on the gun in question. Haven't looked back since then. That was over 13,000 posts ago. Best bargain I ever got on the web. Found a lot of members whom I enjoyed meeting and discussing anything and everything with, including guns.

Was googling wether or not the Ruger m77 was worth the purchase. Found that and then some on here. If the rifle wasn't worth it, then the benefits of finding this website and these great people definitley made this a package deal worth every penny.

I'm a member on a few other sites as well but I hardly ever post anything on them. When I came here and read a few threads I had a strong desire to participate. Now when I come home from work I check my email and spend the rest of the evening here.

Kudos to Chris and all the moderators at G&G, you folks do an outstanding job of keeping things flowing smoothly. I have yet to converse with anyone here who doesn't treat me like family, it really means alot.

I saw "gun" and "game" in the same line and thought this was a Russian roulette ring. What a letdown

I think I answered this one, but anyway, I was looking for some info on my old 30-40 Krag, when I found G&G. I went on another site, and the members treated me like I was an idiot or something. The rifle was in bad shape, from neglect, and I wanted to be able to shoot it. I won't own a firearm that I can't shoot. I found a link to G&G, and that was all she wrote! I've never been back to the other forum, to be abused by the snobs!

They are too! Billy, I had some folks who'd never seen the rifle, and they were telling me all sorts of good stuff, about how I had ruined a collector's piece. I never even got the information I was looking for!
