Best Christmas Firearm Present

Let's share our favorite gun we received for Christmas. Mine was a Remington 510 TargetMaster that my grandfather gave me when I was 12.

He had taught my dad to shoot with it, and 20 years later taught me.

Still have it. Still use it. Been used by 4 generations and still going strong.

On my 8th Christmas, my dad gave me his Winchester Model 67 single shot .22 rifle, which I passed on to my daughter who passed it on to my grandson. I'm sure the original owner would be pleased . . . as I expect that it should, also, make an excellent first gun for still another four generations at the very least.

Well... I have 2 that are tied...

9th christmas- Remington 700 ADL youth in .243 winchester with a nikon prostaff 3-9x

12th Christmas- CZ woodcock deluxe in 12 guage.

Still shoot both reguarly, and these are the only 2 I hunt with, unless I need a little bit more OOMPH.

I received a single shot H&R 12 guage on the Christmas of 1980, almost 30 years later, and countless squirrels and rabbits, I still own and shoot it every once in awhile, it is one gun that I am NEVER going to get rid of.

That's easy. My wife gave me a Remington model 1100 3'' magnum shotgun.
It so perty I don't use it because I don't want to ding or scratch it.

It's around 33 years old now...A.H

I can't say as I've ever received a gun as a Christmas present. Although, I have received my fair share of shooting stuff for Christmas. My favorite would be a tie between my new range bag (loaded with new muffs and notepad) that my wife got me, or the big pile of ammo that my father-in-law got me.

Probably 10 years old, my brother gave me his old Remington 514 s/s rifle. No telling how old it really is, he'd had it for years before me. Still shoots great, still deadly accurate! I suppose I oughta clean it one of these years though.

2005 my Father-in-law gave me his pre-64 model 70 in .264 Winchester magnum, along with a "life-time" supply of ammo. Didn't really know until then if he liked me or not... Andy

I have a 514, I love that gun. Took her home and did a nice refinish job. So far it has been my only gun show purchase. Bought it for $50 down by Tucson when un shows were still a deal and cool to go to. Gun shows can pretty much kiss my butt now days.
