On a serious note i think that this site is right where it needs to be, this site has the knowledge from many people that know what they are talking about and it also has people to watch over the rest of us to make sure knowone gets out of line. IMO this is the best forum i have been on for a long time!!!!!!!!!!!!

You got a recipe for a bacon pie?

Wow! That looks delicious! Don't have a recipe for bacon pie, but I might just start looking for one. Maybe scrambled eggs, cheese, shredded potatoes, & jalapenos on top of a regular bottom pie crust & topped off with the weaved bacon??

Try bacon-wrapped sea scallops on the grill, or, as my partner in culinary crime refers to them, Bacon Bombs: Hollow out some nice large jalapenos, fill them with cream cheese, wrap with bacon, & grill 'em. They're a great appetizer before a bloody rare NY strip or /T-Bone. Wash down with cold beer.

Did You Know... This pie is impossibly easy because there is no crust to roll out. The crust forms as the pie bakes.Substitution Chop 3 green onions to use instead of the chopped yellow onion.Time Saver You're frying anyway, so why not fry a double batch of bacon and store the extra in your freezer? Having fried bacon on hand is great for sandwiches, seasoning vegetables and making Impossibly Easy Bacon Pie even easier.Planned-Overs If you're lucky enough to have leftovers, reheat them in the microwave oven. Cover with waxed paper and microwave 1 slice on a microwaveable plate on Medium (50%) for 2 to 3 minutes or until hot.

Red face

For the 45 of you that felt compelled to post on this thread, Obama, the one most of you voted for, will bring you your bacon. It will be the gift that keeps on giving, and you will keep paying for that bacon and so will your kids and grandkids, ........and their kids and grandkids, and their kids and grandkids...................

Most of us? Surely you jest. Look at my avatar closely. The most miserable of the 20 years I served were under liberal democrats. We will soon have a government that the stupid deserve, but don't you blame me for it. This is going to be the worst presidency since Jimmy Carter. Please don't lump me in with the gullible. I know better.

PS Lots of us share in your frustration.
