Nice gun i like the stainless steel, i just got a 1911A1 parkerized. Like someone on here told me though it would be a nice idea to get the full length guide rod. Cheap and easy to instal

1911 purists seem to hate them, though I've never really heard a valid reason why. My DW Razorback has a guide rod, and my Springfield Armory GI has the usual 1911 set up. I have no preference either way, they both work.

The mil spec is the same internaly as the gi right? the only changes are the ejection port and 3 dot sights?

I've got a SS champ and those wood grips look great with stainless, nice gun there. You did good.
