Springfield Armory Model 1911-A1 Jamed

I was shooting my 45 1911 and after a couple rounds it jamed. I removed the mag; however, the slide won't move forward all the way. It says back about 1" locked. Any thoughts?

Make sure you don't have a round stuck in the barrel. It can happen. Yes, it's happened to me.

BTW, welcome to Gun & Game.

I like your signature, I've been using it for years only with a little different configuration.
