Spaceballs

Does anyone happen to know what weapon Princess Vespa is carrying when a shot from the Stormtroopers Singe her Hair, causing her to enter an Unstoppable Rambo Rage and killing all bad guys in sight??

(Yeah, I know what it is, I just wonder how many OTHER people know...)

The troopers are carrying the same thing, only painted white.

If we could see it on a decent sized screen we could confirm it, but it sure looks like a Calico M-100 rifle to me. Cross-reference the frame at 0:20 with a decent shot of the M-100, like this one from gunbroker.com, the first photo:

calico m100 carbine m-100 22LR scoped : Semi-auto at GunBroker.com

and tell me I'm wrong. It can't be a Liberty I or a Liberty II because the forearm and muzzle brake are different, and none of the ones i have seen have an M-16 type front sight the way the M-100 does.

Yes it was a Calico. I had the 22 rifle model and I could kick myself for selling it.

Mel Brooks is a genius...although I prefer "Blazing Saddles" to "Spaceballs".
