NRA and 1*

Hey NRA I just got a new pistol P95 D it came with 2-10 round mags, 1-15 round, 1-20 round and two boxes of ammo. Winchester Silver Tip and Winchester +P+ labled law enforcement only-not for resale. Now NRA do the mags interchange with my P89 and is it legal to use 15 round mags in it? 1* whats up with the +P+ Is it ok for me to shoot it or do I need to ship it to you? :target:

Yep, the mags work with all P-series Rugers, I got 4 of the 15 rounders myself. Man, you got some goodies with it didn't you? I'm jealous dude! Yeah its legal to use the 15 rounders because they fit the gun without modifications. I don't know about the legality of those law enforcement only rounds if you shoot a intruder or mugger etc. Have fun man!

I thought win Silver Tip could be purchased by anybody? We carry Win Ranger LEO, but anybody can walk into the gun shop and buy it, I've seen it happen.

I also have a P95DC. It was my first duty weapon. Still love it. I think it should handle the +P+ just fine....but I wouldn't make a habit of plinking with it.

This box of ammo is not silver tip. It is marked 9mm Luger +P+ 115 GR. JHP. On the back of the box it reads--designed for use by law enforcement agencies only in modern pistols. I just noticed on the edge of the box is the RANGER emblem.

I prefer Speer Golddot just based off of what I saw at a fire arms instructor school. Golddot seemed to have the best expansion and great penetration, not to much , not too little. They also make +P and +P+ rounds. I carry the Ranger because that is what my department issues. It shoots like anything else though. We don't carry +P rounds on duty though.
