Congress' plan would let AG 'ban guns at will'

A perfect storm is developing for Second Amendment opponents that could allow President elect Barack Obama's choice for attorney general -- Eric Holder -- to "ban guns at will" despite the 2008 affirmation from the U.S. Supreme Court that U.S. citizens have a right to bear arms.

The World Net Daily isn't the most reliable of sources; rightous outrage is its stock in trade. Although its facts seem to be pretty straight in this particular case, they're drawing some unwarranted conclusions from those facts.

This is another case of people sitting around imagining what could happen, then setting their hair afire so they can run screaming in circles. Personally, I'll save my blood pressure until I see what the Democrats in Washington actually try to do, rather than carrying on now about what they might do.

Hussein and pals don't have the authority to circumvent the Constitution with regard to the 2A. It'd be better for everyone and our country as a nation if they didn't try, as I don't see our country as (rightfully) ever being willing to disarm. One need go no further than the recent spike in gun sales across most of America to reinforce the armed citizen concept. The Heller decision is in everyone's recent memory and it reinforces the RKBA; any other attempted restrictive "laws" or "policies" would be unconstitutional. Our military and LEO's (sworn to the constitution) would be obliged not to attempt to enforce such unconstitutional law or direction; our citizens (as citizens) obliged not to follow it.
