How about us Ohio guys start telling each other about some good places to eat, the kind of place that maybe only the locals know. Please, no chains like Chili's or TGIF.
Who's gonna go first?

Absolutely the best pizza in the world at Coccia House on old 30 on the east side of Wooster. They make their own pasta for other Italian dishes, their own sauces, etc. Another good Italian place one is The Grande' Ranch, a little further east of town on 30.
On the near west end, TJ's trio of restaurants. A sports bar, a casual dining, and a fine dining with casual atmosphere all in the same building on West Liberty.
In general, Wooster has more restaurants per capita than any place I've seen. South Market street, about a block off the square, has the South Market Bistro and a new steakhouse across the street. The Olde Jaol is just that and has very good food, as does the Wooster Inn near the College of Wooster.
For those last ones, bring a fat wallet.

They have great breakfasts and very good "all you can eat" fish on Fridays (at least last time I was there on a Friday). I don't know too many people who have finished more than one of their pancakes. The biscuts and sausage gravy is very good also.
The Cirlce in the intersection of 224 and 14, between Akron and Youngstown.
East-Central OH: Millwood Restaurant @ the jct. of US 36/62. Don't blink or you'll miss it. A lot of decent home-cooking for little money ($6-$8 most meals.) Prime rib, about $12, although sometimes re-heated is still good. Get the lasagna and the strawberry pie or brownie sundae and you'll be full! Open 7 days until 8; go during mid-afternoon and won't have to wait.
On up in Amish country, stop at Grandma's on the main drag. They've raised prices and cut portions, but still good for the money. Lake perch AYCE on Fri.'s. Better-than-avg. Amish/home cooking. Closed Sun. Oh, gotta stop at Kidron Sports across the street. Think they close Thurdays and also early on Sat. Decent gun prices. The shoe & boot store upstairs also has Carhartts and hunting clothes at good prices. Might want to check out Keim Lumber across street. This Amish leg is usually "wife-friendly": enough to keep them happy while you're at Kidron's.
Capps Bar in Leroy, OH makes the best burgers i've ever had. A Capps portabella and swiss burger and a Corona is what I'd have for my last meal if I had the choice.
Lorretta's in Christiansburg, Oh. On St RT 55 in S. W. champaign county. Good cooking, and killer Pie! Gotta get a piece of pie. Coconut cream,,, yum, yum!
The old schoolhouse restaraunt on 126 between milford and Loveland. This is the area a little east of Cincinnati. Great country style cookin'. Large portions. It is unique in that you order fried chicken for instance, but you dont specify side items. Everyone at the table gets the same sides in large bowels put on a lazy suzan. Just like at home.

Theres a butcher shop in findlay called Millers Meats. They have the smoke ribs and such everyday. They have to be the best ribs I have ever eaten, including my own. Its on 224? not too far off of 75. Anyone close that has never been there needs to go, or even if you are on 75 passing through. Always worth the stop
