zip guns are very illegal

i heard they can get you the same time as a full auto weapon

id check on that alot first before trying to make a pen gun or zip gun

There is only one sort of legal "pen" gun and IIRC it is classified as an AOW. It is called the Stinger and actually folds to fire.

Oh and for the fellas on here from California, DOJ doesn't care if you manufacture your own firearm, as long as it does not fall into the AW category. So if you have a centerfire rifle with a detachable mag, no pistol grip etc. etc.

Any firearm you make still has to comply with all federal laws, specifically the NFA. No barrel under 18" for shotguns, or 16" for rifles, and total length of 26" or more. No vertical foregrips on pistols. Pistols must have a main grip that protrudes downward. Pistols must have a rifled bore.

Pen guns don't have the downward grip and zip guns typically don't have a rifled bore.

Sorry, I have gotten so used to the California laws being so strict compared to teh Federal laws that I forgot to post that you should also comply with those.

Thank you for pointing that out.
