Exclamation Big Brother's new target: Tracking of all firearms

Surviving against anti-gun efforts...

"U.S. Rep. Bobby Rush, D-Ill., is hoping to pass a firearm-licensing bill that will significantly rewrite gun-ownership laws in America.

Among the more controversial provisions of the bill are requirements that all handgun owners submit to the federal government a photo, thumb print and mental heath records. Further, the bill would order the attorney general to establish a database of every handgun sale, transfer and owner's address in America.

The bill claims its purpose is "to protect the public against the unreasonable risk of injury and death associated with the unrecorded sale or transfer of firearms to criminals and youth.""

Congress' plan would let AG 'ban guns at will'

"A perfect storm is developing for Second Amendment opponents that could allow President-elect Barack Obama's choice for attorney general – Eric Holder – to "ban guns at will" despite the 2008 affirmation from the U.S. Supreme Court that U.S. citizens have a right to bear arms.

The situation was described with alarm by Alan Korwin, author of Gun Laws of America, in a recent commentary.

He cited Holder's known support for gun bans – the former Clinton administration official endorsed the District of Columbia's complete ban on functional guns in residents' homes before it was overturned by the Supreme Court.

And Korwin pointed to overwhelming Democratic majorities in Congress as well as Obama's known support for gun restrictions and his presence in the Oval Office."

If Holder gets the Attorney General position then the Government is getting ready to take our guns unless we can get him removed from office for violating his oath to support and uphold the Constitution.

They should look into polictans in Illinois. They have a great track record in breaking the laws!

Guys things are tracked more than you think. I have seen some things after 911 that really screwed up.........

1. A friend of mine broke the law 30 years ago. First non-violent offense. Nevered jailed and was given parole. If he was clean during parole time record was wiped clean per judge. Even searching the court records nothing came up. He applied for a job and it came up 30 years later. This is due to Homeland Security has dug up old buried records, even state records.

2. My Mother is a British Subject married to a retired US Air Force Officer for 50+ years. She been background checked by the multiple goverment agencies because of relatives security clearance in military. Well she walks into DOT office to renew her DL. Well her record is clean and gets eye test and passes. They tell her they have to do a BG check due to HL Security!. This is a year and half later! What gets me she carries and has a green card!!! Do ya think HL would have checked that way first?

3. Buy a gun from a FFL and they know where ya live, your SS#, and your mental health here. All that is left is a thumb-print or a bit of DNA! BTW ever tried to cash a check at a bank that is not yours and get thumb-printed!! I bet money that they can already get DNA from a thumb print anyways!

Guys I don't mean to be a jerk, but your gun rights will be the last right you will lose. By the time they get to that one all the other rights will be gone!

I am fairly certain this was made illegal in 1986 was it not?

With 330 million Americans and 65 % of us armed, why is this a problem? 967,000 guns were sold before the Election. They have the most high tech weapons and are using them in Iraq and Afghanistan, and still they can't hold the hill. They are stretched too thin, they can't do it.
Be glad when they try. We will win. You see, their leader was judged over 2000 years ago, and sentenced to death, and ours will live to time indefinite. If they come to us on a one to one basis make them pay the price on a one to one basis.

I am farily certain this was made illegal by the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.

Of course that never stopped anything infringement before.
