Security Six help......

Sorry to post another thread but I was wondering something. I saw on here before a thread about helping with the trigger pulll on rugers but now I cant find the thread. The reason is I think the pull on my security six especially DA isnt that great and was hoping to lessen it......THANKS

Find the Ruger forum (google) and look for the IBOK.

Security Six

Found another Sec. Six guy! Have had mine new (6" stainless) since 1976. Love it to death too.
I put a spring kit in it just after I bought it and worked wonders on double and single action pull.
Also take a fine knife whetstone and gently round the edges and then polish the sides of the hammer where it contacts the frame, and use a good lube like Rem oil.
Also worked on the sear for single action pull--be VERY careful and use only a very fine single cut file and / or a whetstone or stone file at the end to smooth it. Hard to go back if you make it to light on single action pull-I had single action pull down to 2 lb once and it was too light.

Don't remember the maker of the spring kit--I am travelling today--I'll saved the original springs in the bag the light ones came in and think I have the address still so I'll look it up and get back to you in a day or two.

I'm curious to know. And the IBOK at the forum/site linked above has been given some major attention due to spam and other things. So you now have to join and have a minimum of 10 posts to even be able to view the IBOK info, which is now in the forum library. I figured, since I'm curious and I am now and have been a Ruger owner for about maybe 6 months now, I should join that forum also anyways.

So if I find out what IBOK means before you, I'll let you know and visa versa please. But i'm sure before that happens, someone else from G&G will have clued us in. lol

So go ahead Adam, register their as well and have yet another user ID and or P/W to remember and keep track of. Why not. lol

Please read to post and PLEASE respect the forum rules. Just a few that abuse it ruin it for ALL.

K75RT--
Looks like mine of course (6" stainless)--I too have added rosewood fingergroove grips like yours but with a squarer butt
Also have white outline rear sight and added a trigger overtravel screw too.
Have had many compliments that is has a pull like or better than a Smith.

Hope the guy gets the spring kits!
