10/22 Trigger Guard Upgrade

I have a target hammer on order and I have been thinking of replacing the trigger guard to a metal one.

Is the safety plunger hard to get back in and could it be reversed for a lefty like me?

Thanks,
Dan

I have worked on a few of the polymer trigger housings. They seem as tight if not tighter than the aluminum ones.
The safety plunger and spring have a tendency to fly out of the housing at near warp speed. I put the housing in a large, clear plastic bag so I don't lose the parts, yes you can reverse it.

Thanks Madcratebuilder!

Seems clear plastic bags are a good idea working on the 10/22 ejector and other parts. My luck it would hit me in the eye and disappear into never neverland!
