Sorry, still stuck on this... isit possible to have new sites put on a 1911 withot having it refinished? If I do have it refinished, would it make sense to have it blued as opposed to parkarized (Systema that has been re-parkerized)

Of course you can have new sites put on it without refinishing. If you are going through with a refinish though I would keep it Parkerized for better durability. Send pictures when done man!
